Founders

The Pen & Tarot app is brought to you by a dynamic duo — a designer who loves crafting intuitive, beautiful experiences and a writer who finds magic in deep, meaningful stories. Together, they’ve turned the art of tarot into a creative tool for writers.

Susie Shubert

Susie’s creative direction shapes Pen & Tarot’s voice, helping writers find inspiration through story, symbolism, and self-discovery.

A self-proclaimed Seeker and Storyteller, Susie Shubert is a certified life coach, a published author, a presenter, and a tarot advisor.

She co-wrote Little House Life Hacks with Angie Bailey, two Gen-X latchkey kids who grew up watching Little House on the Prairie. This kitschy yet helpful book draws lessons from the iconic 70s and 80s TV show, along with the timeless Laura Ingalls Wilder books, to inspire anyone who considers themselves a modern pioneer.

She recently wrote a fantasy novel with the working title, Truth Mercurial. A story about a secret group of mages and alchemists trying to maintain balance in their world amid whispers of betrayal and a deadly threat, it will attract readers who are on an endless quest to find the Truth and where it lies.

Susie has been honored to teach how the tarot is an excellent writing companion at the esteemed Loft Literary Center in her hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and online through the Creative Mornings community.
